There’s something about Apple Cider during the holidays that gets me into the spirit of the season. This version is way more delicious and better for you than store-bought ciders. It’s perfect for a cold winter day when you want something warm and a little more exiting than coffee or tea. Enjoy!
- 8 apples, cut into 8 segments (remove seeds)
- 2 Tbs cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbs coriander seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp maca
- 2 Tbs maple syrup
- Water to cover
- Place all ingredients in a pot and pour in enough water to cover the apples.
- Bring water to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 90 min
- Allow to cool slightly
- Using a fork, mush the apples and then pour the full mixture through a strainer to remove the pulp and apple skins.
- Serve hot!
